A. Wilford Brimley, known professionally as Wilford Brimley, is an American actor. He was born September 27, 1934, in Salt Lake City, UT. He only appeared once, in “The Junk Mail”, as Postmaster General Henry Atkins. Diagnosed with diabetes since 1979, Wilford has become an advocate in raising awareness of the disease. For his lifetime of service, he was recognized with an award from the American Diabetes Association in 2008. He appears in commercials for Liberty Medical, whose headquarters were where he was recognized with the award.
