Michael Richards is an American actor and stand-up comedian. He is easily best known for playing Cosmo Kramer in Seinfeld. After Seinfeld, Michael starred in The Michael Richards Show, but it was cancelled after only nine episodes. Prior to Seinfeld, he and fellow crew member Larry David were part of the ABC late night series, Fridays, which ran from 1980 to 1982. Michael appeared as himself in three episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm; he appeared on the season one finale of Jerry Seinfeld’s 2012 comedy web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee on September 27, 2012.

Notes About Nothing[]

  • Michael wanted nothing to do with Kenny Kramer, the inspiration behind Kramer.
  • Jerry Seinfeld and Michael Richards would team up nearly ten years after the end of Seinfeld in Jerry’s film, Bee Movie. Jerry played the main character, Barry Benson, and Michael had a minor role as Bud Ditchwater.
  • The only episodes in which Michael doesn’t appear are “The Chinese Restaurant” and “The Pen”. However, he is still credited in both of them.
  • In November of 2006, Michael went to the Laugh Factory in California to perform an act, only to go on a racist rant after they said he wasn’t funny. He later apologized, saying "I'm not a racist, that's what's so insane about this." You can watch/read it here:[1]
